Session – Intensives
For almost a decade our multidisciplinary team has been delivering evidence based and innovative therapies and interventions from around the world. We are constantly adding to our tool kit to ensure your child has the best service possible.
We offer 1, 2 and 3 week courses of intensive therapy.
Our unique skill set allows us to proudly boast an unprecedented rehabilitation offering in the UK.
What gains can I expect to see?
As you know many of our children have the same diagnoses, but vastly differ in their level of ability. For this reason, it’s very difficult to judge exactly what gains your child may see from an intensive session. On the first day of your child’s session you will meet with your therapist and come up with a set of realistic goals for the intensive. Your primary concerns will be taken into account, so please feel free to discuss openly what you would most likely to concentrate on.
How much is the deposit to secure my sessions?
There is a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the balance, this will vary depending on how many hours and weeks you will be attending.
What is the cost for an intensive?
£1000 per week.
This is for 3 hours of therapy 5 days a week.
Why is the intensive cost more than your hourly rate?
Are there discounts for block booking?
Will I need to pay upfront?
What if I have to cancel at the last minute, do I still have to pay?
If your child becomes ill prior to the session start date please contact us ASAP so we can try and fit another family in. With a doctors note, we can save the money you put towards this intensive as a credit towards rebooking the next session you schedule with us.
What if my child becomes ill during the intensive
Are you open weekends?
How soon can I book my follow up intensive?
What should I bring?
- Any equipment such as AFOs, leg gaiters, walkers etc.
- Healthy snacks, drinks, and juices
- Regular shoes that fit without AFOs and socks
- Favorite toys/books (prizes for a great day or week)
- Tablet with shows or music for motivation when therapy gets tough!
- An extra change of clothes in case of an accident
- AAC Device
- Medications, vitamins, supplements, etc.
- And parents, don’t forget to bring some snacks and entertainment for you too!
Will I have the same therapist for each session?
No, that is the beauty of having such a diverse team. There are some interventions and expertise that only certain members can provide and we want your child to have a 360* experience with us. No one therapist or therapy is ‘the answer’, we all have a piece of the puzzle.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable but they can be moved to a later date per the policy below.
61+ Days prior to the session start date:
- Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will no longer be charging a fee to transfer your deposit to a later date.
31-60 Days prior to the session start date:
- You may transfer your intensive payment to another session but will be charged a £250 cancellation fee.
0-30 Days prior to the session start date:
- We are unable to refund, transfer or credit any amount of your deposit as the session will most likely go unfilled.
Within an intensive period:
- Should you decide to cancel or not participate in any of your intensive sessions, a £50 cancellation fee will be charged for each session missed.
Why don’t you have a physio, occupational or speech therapist on your team?
The honest answer is we get great results, in all areas of development, without them, and our families can access these services free on the NHS. We want to provide what isn’t readily available and draw from countries who are generally far more advanced in rehabilitation then we are.
In the future we will look to add these qualifications to our team provided that they are multi disciplined as all of our current therapists are.
